Global Flower Trading : Quality

GF Trading takes pride in our high level of quality and maintanance of that high quality level. Everyone within our team is always looking to maintain and even improve the quality of the flowers which we supply our clients.

Through guidance and daily reporting we have managed to get our suppliers to work with the same mentality, which is imperative to stay reliable and succesfull in the flower industry. Production of quality products is the main goal at all our producing farms. Special attention is therefore paid to things such as uniformity, packaging, leaf quality and presentation of the products.

GF Trading frequently controls the vase life of its flowers in our specially set up and objective vase life testing facility. The results of the tests are also communicated to the producers, so that we can work together on further improving the quality of the flowers.

Steps quality process In short, we have implemented the following steps in our quality process in order to maintain and further improve our high quality levels:

First quality controls are done by the producers of the flowers which have all had special training in quality management in order to supply quality which the market expects from us.
Upon receival of the flowers at the airport of departure we have people checking the packaging and quality of the flowers. If one of both is insufficiënt flowers will not be accepted and send back to the producing farm.
Upon arrival in Holland flowers are checked thoroughly when they arrive at GF Trading. Main focus will be at temperature of the boxes, packinging, cut stages and leaf quality. We issue daily reports of these checks to all producers concerned, with photographic evidence if necessary.
Each lot of flowers old via auction clocks have been checked according to auction quality regulations.
Products sold directly will be checked according to our own quality standards.
